In the 74th minute of a May 2025 match, Angel City defender Savy King suddenly collapsed on the field. Quick action by her team’s medical staff and first responders saved her life with CPR.
Doctors later discovered a rare congenital heart condition that required corrective surgery. For Savy, that moment became more than a fight to return to soccer, it became the start of a new mission.
Through Savy King of Hearts, she’s turning her story into action: raising awareness about CPR, expanding access to heart screenings, and empowering others to be ready in critical moments.
